Astropecten martis of very good quality. It is exceptionally rare to have such a high quality starfish. A high majority of these are found in a muddy soil and conservation is made by impregnating the matrix with glue. The downside with such soft matrix is that part of the fossil easily gets lost and restoration is required. This specimen however was found in hard matrix and prepared, which leaves a perfect 100% natural fossil. The starfish measures 165 mm - 6 5/8" in diameter. The matrix measures 320 x 310 mm or 12 7/8" x 12 1/2".

Ammolite is an opal-like gemstone found primarily in Alberta, Canada. It consists of fossilized shells of ammonites composed primarily of aragonite. In 1981, ammolite was given official gemstone status by the World Jewellery Confederation hence the high value of these objects. Big sections of this quality are extremely rare.

Wood is most of the time fossilised by replacement with silica. This fossil wood slab found in Turkey is different. It gets incredible colours due to the infiltration by copper based minerals. Native copper, green malachite, blue azurite and a bit of turquoise have all these made it into an incredible mix of beautifully colours and patterns. Most often this wood is polished into cabochons. This slab if very different due to its longitudinal cut showing an incredible unique fossil.

Beautifully polished 2.7 billion year old, Marra Mamba Stromatolite from Western Australia. Marra Mamba is classified as a tiger iron stromatolite. Its formation is due to the cyanobacteria that formed stromatolites. Oxygen was not present in the early atmosphere, but arose as a byproduct of photosynthesis by cyanobacteria. This oxygen combined with dissolved iron in Earth's oceans formed insoluble iron oxides, which precipitated out, forming a thin layers on the ocean floor. The bands within the tiger iron represent seasonal variations in oxygen levels within Earth's oceans. Comes with a custom made stand.

A beautiful multiple fossil Gingko leaf from the Sentinel Butte Formation of North Dakota. This piece is perfectly preserved showing fine details. The light colour of the leaf beautifully contrasts with the brown rock colour.

The Argentine pine cones are well know for their high quality and exceptional preservation. Some cones even have a stem conserved which is very rare. This is the case here with this excellent cone. Comes with a custom made stand. Hight on stand is 110 mm or 4.3".

Spectaculer Green River Platanus Wyomingensis leaf. This is a very aesthetic all natural piece. The leaves have been left so as found. The beautiful piece is 510mm - 20" high on the stand.

Here is a beautifully fossilised specimen of the downy feathers. Coming from an unknown bird. Downy feathers are the ones that are found closest to the skin; their hairlike structure provides excellent insulation.
