We have seen a number of these crabs, but aesthetically this is by far the best. This fossil freshwater crab (Potamon sp.) is preserved in travertine from the Denizli Basin in Southwest Turkey. The crab exhibits amazingly detailed, 3d preservation. Beatifully preserved in its three-dimensional cast of a white travertine matrix.
