Ornithocheirus Pterosaur tooth

Huge tooth of a Jurassic pterosaur of the family of the Ornithocheirids, the Ornithocheirus simus. Ornithocheirus simus, is only known from fragmentary jaw tips. It was believed in the past that Ornithocheirus was one of the largest pterosaurs to have existed, with a wingspan possibly measuring 40 feet (12.2 m) wide. Due to the highly erosive desert climate, teeth from this size are rarely found complete. This makes this tooth a rarity. Very interesting collection item.
