Mioplosius labracoides

This is a fossil fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. Mioplosus is one of the more uncommon species from this formation. It's nicely centered on a natural slab. Mioplosius is a genus of large, extinct fish that lived through the Eocene epoch.
