Marshosaurus jaw with tooth

Incredible natural Megalosaurus lower jaw section with tooth of a Marshosaurus bicentesimus. The conservation of the 33 mm/1.3" tooth is very good. Comes with a custom made stand. The Marshosaurus name carries quite some history in it. The dinosaur was named in 1976 by Madsen as the type species Marshosaurus bicentesimus. The generic name honoured the nineteenth century paleontologist Professor Othniel Charles Marsh, who described many dinosaur fossils;. the sp name was to reflect the bicentennial of the United States of America.
