Marshosaurus bicentesimus rooted
Incredible fully rooted tooth of a Marshosaurus bicentesimus in original matrix. This is by far the best tooth I have ever prepared from this famous midsize theropod. The conservation is absolutely top and to accentuate its beauty we left it in its original matrix. No restoration.
The Marshosaurus name carries quite som history in it. The dinosaur was named in 1976 by Madsen as the type species Marshosaurus bicentesimus. The generic name honoured the nineteenth century paleontologist Professor Othniel Charles Marsh, who described many dinosaur fossils;. the sp name was to reflect the bicentennial of the United States of America.
