Mammoth tusk tip with natural color

€ 1.595
Beautiful all natural Mammoth tusk from Alaska with incredible natural colours. Unique for the locations is that tusk fossils can occasionally change to beautiful blue colour variations. The Apatite mineral, consisting of calcium phosphate, reacts with iron and transforms to vivianite, a gorgeous green-blue mineral. The tusk has been properly treated and is of excellent quality. Only minimal restoration on some natural cracks. An absolute collection object.
