Killer Glossopteris matrix block

Very aesthetic natural plate that containing fossil seed fern leaves of the species Glossopteris browniana. These are largest genus of the extinct Permian order of seed plants. This block was collected from the Illawarra Coal Measures of New South Wales, Australia. Leaves can be found on both sides of this plate, with the largest leaf measuring 90 mm or 3.6".
