Edmontosaurus leg

€ 11.950
A nice complete leg of an Edmontosaurus coming from the Late Cretaceous Period in what is now known as the Hell Creek Formation about 70 million to 66 million years ago. All bones in the leg (Femur, Tibia, Fibula) are original and belonged to the same specimen. As the bones were nicely fossilised next to each other it was decided not the take them apart and mount them in the as found position. Edmontosaurus included two of the largest hadrosaurid species ever walking our planet, with E. annectens measuring up to 12 metres (39 ft) in length. Based on the size of this foot it most probably belonged to an adult male E. annectens of maximal size.

Late Cretaceous(70 - 66 mil.y)
